Hooray for Cinemalaya 2016!

For this year's entries, we chose to watch Kusina (the kitchen), the silent witness to the life and love of Juanita who is beautifully portrayed by Judy Ann Santos. It is her sanctuary, the place where she creates delicious/signature dishes for her family, her friends, or even to her enemies and strangers she meets. With her cooking, she gets to know the people around her, and in return, reveal herself to them. I love how the plot is situated only in one place - that, is obviously the kitchen. :p It may have a fast paced story, but it was engaging, uniquely told and excellently acted. :)

This has been our go to place whenever we're in the Medical City, and it is also one of my favourite restaurants! Today, Jho had an appointment with her doctor for her prolonged cough and colds that started 3 weeks ago. Little did she know that as soon as I knew we were going to this place again, I was a bit nervous cause of the trauma caused by my experiences being rushed here before, but other than that, I was excited. Because I knew (assuming and wishing. haha) that we are to dine at Mary Grace afterwards. And I was right! :) I lovee their pastas specifically, but I also enjoy their pastries and other dishes. Today, I ordered their oil based spanish sardines pasta, while Jho went for their salmon cream pasta. It was sooo good as usual. :) My goal is to try all their pastas first, then their mains and pastries. :) I super enjoyed today's breakfast! I hope and pray that Jho feel better too. :)
